Women's Volleyball
Posted 50 assists in NSU's two matches last week...had six kills, no errors and hit .429 in the loss to Bethune-Cookman...added 27 assists in the loss to Florida A&M...had five digs in each match.
Football
Recorded 10 catches for 100 yards and two touchdowns in the 21-16 win over Delaware State...had eight catches for 86 yards and both of his touchdowns in the decisive fourth-quarter rally...scored the winning TD with 49 seconds remaining on a 39-yard catch-and-run where he broke two tackles before finding the end zone...it was his fourth 100-yard receiving game of the season.

NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State men’s basketball team will host ESPNU for two live broadcasts in Echols Hall this season as part of the MEAC’s official television package.

The Spartans’ home games with Howard and South Carolina State have both been selected for live broadcasts.

NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State men’s basketball team will host the University of Maine in the Spartans’ 2009-10 home opener on Monday night at Echols Hall. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.

The Spartans (0-1) opened the season with an 86-58 at 2009 NIT runner-up Baylor on Friday night in Waco, Texas.

WACO, Texas— LaceDarius Dunn scored a game-high 32 points, including 25 in the first half, to lead host Baylor to an 86-58 win over Norfolk State in the season-opener for both teams on Friday night at the Ferrell Center.

Michigan transfer Ekpe Udoh added a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds for Baylor (1-0), the 2009 NIT runner-up.
