WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — The Norfolk State women's cross country team tallied 221 points as they placed seventh at the William & Mary Inter-Regional Challenge on Saturday. Leading the Spartans over the 6K course was freshman
Jamia Hutto (Orlando, Fla.), who finished 58
th overall in 25:47.
Sophomore
Anastacia Limo (Kapsabet, Kenya) was the Spartans second finisher in 26:10 and was closely followed by junior
Tia Miles (Richmond, Va.) who finished in 26:11.
NSU's fourth and fifth finishers were senior
Marnita Patterson (Chesapeake, Va.) (26:56) and freshman
Syeeda Gee (Philadelphia, Pa.) (27:05).
Michigan State finished first overall with 19 points. Lisa Senakiewich of MSU finished first in 21: 03.
The Spartans host the 2008 Spartan Invitational on Saturday. The women's race begins at 10 a.m. at Virginia Wesleycan College in Virginia Beach, Va.
