NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk State sophomore Aurora Scott (Portsmouth, Va.) was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the third straight week, the league announced on Wednesday.
Scott paced the Spartans and won the HBCU Challenge in 18:27 at the Great American Cross Country Festival. Her time helped NSU to a first-place finish out of 13 competing teams.
The Spartans have this weekend off. They return to action on Oct. 17 when they run in the William & Mary Tribe 6K Open.
