BERLIN - Former NSU Division I All-American Debbie Dunn captured a gold medal Sunday as the lead-off leg of the United States' women'x 4x400 meter relay team at the IAAF World Track and Field Championships.

Dunn, Allyson Felix, Lashinda Dermus and Sanya Richards won the gold in 3:17.83, the top time in the world this year and more three seconds faster than silver-medal winning Jamaica.

It was the second medal for a Spartan alumna this week. Former NCAA Division II champion sprinter Chandra Sturrup won silver as part of the Bahamian 4x100 relay on Saturday.
