DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - NSU second baseman Sammy Serafine (Chesapeake, Va.) was named to the All-MEAC Baseball Tournament Team. 

The freshman batted 7-for-15 (.467) with two doubles, two runs scored and three RBI in the Spartans' four games. His seven hits led all Spartans, and he had a career-best four hits in NSU's second loss to North Carolina A&T on Saturday.

Serafine ended his rookie season with a .339 average, third-best on the team. He had 42 hits, 26 RBI and scored 25 runs.
