#9 Terrell Whitehead Position: DB Height: 6-2 Weight: 200 Class: Sophomore Hometown: Virginia Beach, Va. Previous School: Kempsville HS

    2006: After missing the first two games of the year due to injury, Whitehead made an immediate impact as one of the team’s top freshmen…played in nine games for the season, starting the last four at free safety…led the team and tied for fifth in the MEAC with three interceptions…also deflected two other passes…made 40 tackles, tied for the most among NSU defensive backs…had 21 solo stops and half a tackle for loss…had interceptions against North Carolina A&T, Morgan State and Winston-Salem State…posted 11 tackles, half for a loss, to go with an interception, a pass breakup and a blocked extra point vs. Morgan State…earned MEAC Rookie of the Week honors for his performance in that game…also posted seven tackles against Florida A&M and six against Winston-Salem State. 
    High School: First-team All-Tidewater and All-Beach District his junior and senior seasons…had 81 tackles and four interceptions as a senior…had eight interceptions and 67 tackles as a junior…also started at point guard for the Kempsville basketball team.
