Athletes of the Week
Football
Recorded 10 catches for 100 yards and two touchdowns in the 21-16 win over Delaware State...had eight catches for 86 yards and both of his touchdowns in the decisive fourth-quarter rally...scored the winning TD with 49 seconds remaining on a 39-yard catch-and-run where he broke two tackles before finding the end zone...it was his fourth 100-yard receiving game of the season.
Women's Volleyball
Posted 50 assists in NSU's two matches last week...had six kills, no errors and hit .429 in the loss to Bethune-Cookman...added 27 assists in the loss to Florida A&M...had five digs in each match.

Media Information
Norfolk State University Media Information and Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in covering Norfolk State University athletics. Below is a listing of services provided by the Norfolk State University Sports Information Office to aid media members in their coverage of Spartan athletics, and a list of a guidelines that media are asked to follow.

Credentials
Credentials are issued to working members of the media only. Because of limited working press space at home basketball and football games, requests by press members on assignment will be honored on a space-available basis. All requests should be made to the Sports Information Director at least three days prior to the specified game. Requests will be screened to ensure good working conditions. Present valid identification at Will Call and admission will be granted upon acceptance the day of the game. In some cases, media members may be able to pick up credentials in the Sports Information Office prior to game day. Please call ahead to confirm. Photographers and videographers should follow the same guidelines.

Media Parking
Parking is available upon request on a first-come, first-served basis.

Dick Price Stadium Press Box
The Dick Price Stadium press box is located on the third floor of the south side of the stadium on the home side of the field. Gate 8 affords the most convenient access to the press box. Proper credentials must be presented in order to gain entry to the press box. The press box is for media on assignment, statistical crews, the public address announcers, and television and radio broadcast crews. Press box telephone lines, Ethernet outlets and cables, and electrical outlets are available when not in use. Facsimile and copying services are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please remember that the press box is a working press room, and our guidelines are set in accordance with the working press code of the Football Writers Association of America.

Joseph Echols Hall Press Row
Press row is located on the east side of the basketball court at Echols Hall. The official scorer, timekeeper, statistical crew, public address announcer and both teams are located opposite press row. Press members will have access to electrical outlets and may have access to telephone lines on a space-available basis.

Media Services
Working members of the press will be supplied with media guides, game programs, rosters and notes. Statistics will be available at the end of each quarter (football) or half (basketball) and following the game. Internal public address will be provided to update information, notes and elements of the play-by-play action throughout the game. Food and beverages will also be provided in most instances. Please check with the Sports Information staff to verify location.

Post-Game Interviews
After the coaching staff addresses the team following a cooling-off period at the conclusion of the game, players and coaches will be made available to the media at a location to be determined by the sports information staff. The Sports Information staff will consult working media members in compiling a list of interview requests prior to the conclusion of each game.

Other Interviews
Interviews with NSU head coaches, athletics administrators, assistant coaches and players can be scheduled during the week by contacting the Sports Information Office. Media wishing to schedule interviews with players are asked to contact the sports information office at least 24 hours prior to the preferred interview time. Media members are permitted to attend practice in most cases, but any interview arrangement surrounding practice time should be arranged through the Sports Information Office. Once practice begins, coaches and players are not available until the completion of practice.
