Asia Williams enters her first season as an Assistant Coach/ Recruiting Coordinator at Norfolk State in 2025-26.

Williams proved herself as a recruiter during her time at the College of Charleston, signing the CAA's top-ranked recruiting class and the nation's No. 47 class in 2021, according to the Dan Olson Women's Basketball Report.

"I'm incredibly excited to join the Norfolk State family and return to coaching after two years away," Williams said. "I am extremely grateful to Coach Woods for the opportunity and for believing in me. I look forward to working with these amazing student-athletes and contributing to the program's continued success."

Williams previously served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at UNC Wilmington, where she helped sign six newcomers for the 2022–23 season, including a transfer from NC State. She also coached the CAA Sixth Player of the Year and All-CAA Third Team member Za'Nautica Downs and All-CAA Second Team selection Carol-Anne Obusek during the 2021–22 season.

Among her previous stops, Williams served as a recruiting coordinator at Western Carolina and an assistant coach at UNC Greensboro. At UNCG, she played a key role in the program's first 20-win season in a decade during the 2016–17 campaign. The Spartans advanced to the Southern Conference Championship semifinals and secured a WNIT berth that year.

Williams spent the 2015–16 campaign at LIU Brooklyn, where she coached All-Northeast Conference Third Team selection Shanice Vaughan.

Following a stellar career as a player, Williams started her coaching career by spending two seasons at Appalachian State. During her time with the Mountaineers, she coached standout forward Maryah Sydnor, who earned First Team All-SoCon and First Team All-Sun Belt honors.

A 2013 graduate of Wake Forest, Williams led the Demon Deacons as a player with 145 during her senior campaign and ranked fourth on the team with 10.4 points per game. She also helped lead the program to a pair of WNIT appearances.

A standout high school athlete, Williams earned North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year honors in 2009 as a senior at Hillside High School and was a two-time PAC-6 Conference Player of the Year.
