Women's Basketball
Scored a career-high 20 points in the loss to Morgan State, hitting 9-of-13 from the floor...added 11 points, six rebounds and two blocks in the loss to Coppin State.
Men's Basketball
Averaged 22.3 points, 10 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game in NSU's last three games (vs. SCSU, Morgan State, Coppin State)...had a career-high 32 points and 11 rebounds at SCSU...had 17 points and six rebounds in the overtime loss to Morgan State...added 18 points and a career-high tying 13 rebounds in the win over Coppin, his fifth double-double of the season...shot 70 percent from the floor (28-of-40) in the three games.

NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk State football coach Pete Adrian announced Wednesday the signing of 16 players to national letters of intent to play for the Spartans beginning next fall. The list released Wednesday consists of 14 high school signees and two junior-college recruits.

The Spartans bulked up with the signing of eight linemen, five who project as offensive linemen and three as defensive linemen. NSU also signed three wide receivers, three defensive backs, one linebacker and one junior college quarterback.

NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk State junior center William Falakiseni (Tonga) and senior safety Terrell Whitehead (Virginia Beach, Va.) were named Friday to the Sheridan Broadcast Network’s Black College All-American Team.

NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk State senior safety Terrell Whitehead (Virginia Beach, Va.) has been named a first-team Division I FCS All-American by three of the most prestigious sources. Whitehead was selected to the Walter Camp, Associated Press (AP) and The Sports Network's first teams, capping an illustrious four-year Spartan career.

NORFOLK, Va. — Three Norfolk State football players have been invited to play in the 2009 HBCU Bowl later this month.

Safety Terrell Whitehead (Virginia Beach, Va.), quarterback Dennis Brown (Miami, Fla.) and kicker Justin Castellat (Virginia Beach, Va.) have accepted invitations to participate on the East team of senior standouts from historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).
