NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk State freshman volleyball player Charlotte Armstead (Williamsburg, Va.) was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week, the league announced on Monday. It is the second such honor for Armstead this season.

Armstead hit 41-percent from the floor with a career-high 15 kills in a 3-2 loss to South Carolina State. In the win over Bethune-Cookman, Armstead posted nine kills and added three blocks.

For the week, Armstead hit .388 with just five errors in 49 attempts.
