NSU Men's Track Signs Georgia Standout Vincent Brown

NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State men’s track coach Kenneth Giles announced Wednesday that standout middle distance runner Vincent Brown (Peachtree City, Ga./McIntosh HS) has signed to run for the Spartans beginning next season.

Brown was the Georgia Class AAAA state champion in the 800 meters as a senior for McIntosh. He ran a personal-best time of 1 minute, 53.2 seconds to take the title. He should make an immediate impact in that event for NSU, which has won the last eight MEAC indoor and outdoor track and field titles.

Brown chose NSU over offers from Florida and Western Carolina.

“Vincent fills a need we have in the 800 after losing Dominic Luka and Keenan Harris,” Giles said. “We feel like he is going to develop into a fine collegiate runner.”
