NORFOLK, Va. – Due to the threat of another winter weather system in the Hampton Roads area, Saturday’s MEAC basketball doubleheader between Norfolk State and Maryland Eastern Shore at Joseph Echols Hall has been moved up four hours. The women’s game will now tip off at noon, and the men’s game will begin at 2 p.m. Doors will open for the general public at 11 a.m.

One of the heaviest snowfalls to hit Hampton Roads in recent history dumped as much as nine inches of snow in some locations on Jan. 30, forcing the postponement of that day’s games between NSU and Morgan State and creating several days worth of school and business closings in the area. The game times have been moved up to give those attending the games and the teams the opportunity to be off the roads before conditions reach their worst on Saturday.
