NORFOLK, Va. - Norfolk State senior guard Michael Deloach (Rocky Mount, N.C.) was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

Deloach averaged 22.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.0 steals in helping the Spartans to a pair of MEAC wins, over Coppin State and Maryland Eastern Shore. Deloach had 27 points, six rebounds, five assists and five steals in NSU's 80-71 win over Coppin State last Monday night. Then on Saturday, Deloach scored 16 of his 18 points in the second half to help the Spartans to a 64-62 win over UMES. Deloach hit the winning jumper with 3.9 seconds left to break a 62-all tie against the Hawks.

This is Deloach's first MEAC weekly honor of the season.
