NORFOLK, Va. — The Norfolk State women’s tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to the University of Pittsburgh on Wednesday at the NSU Tennis Complex.

Pittsburgh got off to a fast start and won the doubles point before taking all the singles matches in straight sets.

Chenge Tsapayi (Harare, Zimbabwe) played a competitive match, but fell 6-3, 6-3 to Gabi Catanzariti at No. 4 singles. Rebecca Graff (Bastad, Sweden) won four sets in a 6-2, 6-2 loss at No. 5 singles, while Brittany Foster (Norfolk, Va.) lost 6-1, 6-1 to Adela Aprodu at No. 2 singles.

The Spartans (1-9) travel to Raleigh, N.C. on Sunday for a 1 p.m. match at Shaw.
