NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State University has signed on with Front Rush to streamline its recruiting and compliance processes, NSU athletics director Marty L. Miller announced.
NSU is the first MEAC and HBCU athletics department to utilize Front Rush, a software program designed primarily to streamline the tracking of prospective student-athletes and recruiting contacts made by coaches to prospective student-athletes. In addition, Front Rush also creates electronic versions of compliance and other forms used by the athletics department.
Other institutions currently using Front Rush include the University of Virginia, Michigan State University, the University of Richmond and East Carolina University.
“Front Rush was the most cost-effective program that met the needs of our department. Signing on with Front Rush is a major step forward in enhancing our compliance efforts and demonstrating that Norfolk State University is committed to ensuring compliance with NCAA rules and regulations,” Miller said. “This project is another indication that the department of athletics at Norfolk State University is serious about its goal of being considered one of the best and most efficiently managed athletic programs in intercollegiate athletics. My administrative staff deserves a great deal of the credit for the successes of the athletics department.”
