Spring 2013 AD's Honor Roll List
NORFOLK, Va. – A total of 115 student-athletes from Norfolk State University have earned a spot on the Athletics Director's Honor Roll for the spring 2013 academic term by virtue of recording a 3.0 or higher grade-point average for the semester.
The 115 members are the second-most to earn honor roll recognition since the program began in 2010. NSU had 130 student-athletes earn the award for the previous term this year, the fall 2012 semester.
Football led all teams with 35 members on the Athletics Director's Honor Roll, followed by women's track with 12; men's track with 11; baseball and volleyball with nine apiece; women's bowling and softball with eight apiece; women's basketball and men's tennis with seven each; women's tennis with six; and men's basketball with three. Women's bowling (89 percent), men's tennis (88 percent) and women's tennis (86 percent) had the highest percentage of their teams represented on the list.
In addition, women's tennis freshman Andrea Macchiavello recorded a perfect 4.0 GPA for the semester.
