2009 (Junior)
All-MEAC second-team performer for the second straight year…started all 11 games…rushed 175 times for 922 yards…scored 11 total touchdowns, 10 rushing and one receiving…ranked fourth in the MEAC in rushing yards per game (83.8 ypg), all-purpose yardage (106.5 ypg) and scoring (6.0 points per game)…ranked 29th in the country in rushing yards per game…also caught 18 passes for 250 yards, both career highs…had five 100-yard rushing games, second-most among MEAC players…had 71 yards rushing and two scores in the opener against VSU…tied his career high with three TDs and topped the 100-yard mark for the first time in 2009 in the win over Bethune-Cookman…rushed for 129 yards against both Hampton and Howard…rushed for a season-high 145 yards in the win at Morgan State to earn MEAC Offensive Player of the Week accolades…ran for one TD and also caught his first career TD pass in that game, a 16-yarder…had a career-high 68 receiving yards to go with 56 rushing yards and one TD at Delaware State…finished the season by tallying a season-high 180 all-purpose yards against Winston-Salem State…ran 24 times for 118 yards and two scores against the Rams…also caught two passes for 62 yards, including a career-long 53-yarder on a screen play, against WSSU.
2008 (Sophomore)
An All-MEAC second-team selection in his first year as a starter…led NSU and ranked third in the MEAC with 1,055 yards rushing…earned the Coaches Award as team’s top offensive player…played in all 12 games and started eight…averaged 87.9 rushing yards per contest, 36th-best in the nation…led NSU with 10 rushing touchdowns…finished sixth in the conference in all-purpose yardage (1,104, 92.0 yards per game) and ninth in scoring (5.0 points per game)…caught eight passes for 49 yards on the year…ran for at least 100 yards three times…opened the season with 92 yards and a career-high three touchdowns in the win over Virginia State…named MEAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week for his effort against VSU…had a career-high 30 carries for 180 yards in the win over N.C. A&T…ran for 94 yards and a touchdown at South Carolina State…rushed for two touchdowns and 87 yards at Howard…added 86 yards and another score one week later against Morgan State, Division I FCS’s top-ranked defense…ended the season with a career-high 181 yards rushing on 21 attempts at Winston-Salem State…had his two longest runs of the season against the Rams, covering 49 and 53 yards…also scored one touchdown in that game, the winning score in the fourth quarter.

Sat out the year to focus on academics.
2006 (Freshman)
Played in 10 contests in his rookie campaign…missed the Winston-Salem State game (11-18-06) due to illness…was second on the team in rushing (371 yards) despite not starting a game…averaged a team-best 5.7 yards per carry…scored three touchdowns…rushed for a season-high 105 yards on just nine carries at No. 12 Hampton…also had a 47-yard carry against the Pirates, the longest run of the season for an NSU back…had 12 carries for 66 yards against VMI…scored his first career TD on a 12-yard run at Bethune-Cookman…rushed 10 times for 55 yards and a TD versus N.C. A&T (9-30-06)…had 10 rushes for 61 yards and a score versus Florida A&M.
High School
A first-team All-Tidewater and second-team All-State Group AAA pick as a senior…the Eastern District Offensive Player of the Year, Branche rushed for 1,521 yards and 24 touchdowns to lead Maury to a berth in the Eastern Region playoffs…had seven games with 100 or more yards and three with 200 or more…second-team All-Tidewater as a junior.
