The NSU athletics department is pleased to announce a new online feature that will honor the Spartans’ proud tradition. Each week during the current school year (2011-12), a pair of former Spartan coaches and/or athletes will be featured on the department’s web site, www.nsuspartans.com, as Athletics Alumni of the Week.
Former athletes and coaches who will be recognized initially will be members of the Norfolk State University Athletics Foundation Sports Hall of Fame. Others to be featured later will include athletes who earned All-American honors and coaches who won conference championships during their tenure at NSU.
Each week’s featured pair of former Spartans will be visible at the athletics home page at www.nsuspartans.com and also under the Athletics Foundation drop-down menu, which is accessible from any page of the web site.
